Cobre Bem Tecnologia, 100% certified in 2009, 2010 and 2011, has just achieved 100% compliance in 2012, in version 2.0 of PCI DSS, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, a worldwide information security standard assembled by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council (PCI SSC) created to help organizations that process card payments prevent credit card fraud through increased controls around data and its exposure to compromise.
Cobre Bem Tecnologia is a company, that has been in the market for 17 years, developing standard solutions for means of payment and is the leader of it segment in Brazil, both the criterion amount of automated transactions and the financial volume traded. The company has achieved in september 2012 the renewal of it`s certification on PCI DSS.
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) was developed to stimulate and upgrade the quality of security for credit card holder data, as well as to simplify the adoption of security measures for data consistency worldwide.
The core of the PCI DSS is a group of 6 principles and accompanying 12 requirements, around which the specific elements of the DSS are organized:
